European Consumer Summit 2022
The European Consumer Summit 2022 will take place 10 February 2022 in Strasbourg. It will be organised on-line.
The European Consumer Summit 2022 to be held on-line on 10 February 2022 will bring together more than 500 stakeholders from all European Member States, including policymakers, national enforcement authorities, academia, consumer and business organisations, youth representatives and other EU institutions to discuss the operational priorities for the year ahead and the next steps to be taken under the Consumer Agenda. Didier Reynders, European Commissioner for Justice will open the Consumer Summit, followed by Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, French Minister in charge of Consumer Affairs and Anna Cavazzini, President of the Internal Market and Consumer Committee (IMCO) at the European Parliament.
The main topic of the plenary session is the evolution of consumer markets today and in the future. Four workshops will be held parallel and will focus on the Consumer Agenda Operational Priorities for the year ahead on digital markets and on the green transition.
